Classical Trumpets / Keyed Trumpets
In order to come as close as possible to the sound of historical instruments, we make our replicas according to traditional methods. All tubes as well as the bell of the instrument are soldered from hammered brass sheets and therefore show a soldering seam. The use of these methods produces instruments acoustically closer to original instruments, especially where tone colour is concerned. The garland and ferrules are engraved according to the originals.
Key notations refer to a´= 440 Hz. Classical orchestral repertoire is normally performed by period instrument ensembles at a´= 430 Hz.
