Renaissance-Natural Trumpets

In order to come as close as possible to the sound of historical instruments, we make our replicas according to traditional methods. The use of these methods produces instruments acoustically closer to original instruments, especially where tone colour is concerned.

Key notations refer to a´= 440 Hz. Renaissance pitch was often either a semitone lower (a´= 415 Hz) or higher (a´= 466 Hz). The pitch standard of a´= 440 Hz was established much later.
